College Expenses

My divorce decree states that I am responsible for 50% of college expenses. My child lives with my ex and her husband. They are wealthy and do not intend to apply for financial aid. I am unable to pay college expenses at this time. I have received a letter from their attorney and they plan to go to court. I simply do not have funds, what can I do?

I suggest that you contact your former attorney or a new attorney to determine whether or not you can file a motion for modification because of your current circumstances.
