Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Colonel John Carl Thompson,a WWII vet, was married ta very, very sick wife. Omie died in April 1988. He met a waitress at The Waffle House in Houston where he lived named Donna Marie Culpepper. Unbeknown to him she is a sociopath with a bigamist and criminal background in Georgia,Houston, and Hawaii. She was married to six men when she married the Colonel in Nov.1988 and married another while living with him. She forged his name on checks (mortgage, taxes, cemetery plots, etc to buy drugs and cash hot checks in his name. She and on of her "husbands" Trinidad Alvia tried to murder him. She and her sister took the money from the sal of their mother's home in Georgia and placed in a motel where the woman starved to death. Her father was a pimp and drug dealer and was murdered. She has two daughters by married men/ She left the Colonel in 1992 and took all his possessions and money and fled to Hawaii with a younger, married, alcoholic (she's one) man. She was placed in prison there and when she got out she married three more men (uses 21 aliases) She uses different names on her "marriage " certificates, different ages, different places of birth, and number of marriages (perjury) The Colonel paid the lawyer in Houston for a divorce but papers, for some reason, were never filed. Does he have to divorce here in the state of Texas where he resides? can the marriage be annulled in Texas? Can he charge her with fraud?I am an investigator and I have copies of these overlapping marriages. What is the cheapest way to get rid of her. She married a Tommy Ross Edwards 153 Edward Ohatchee, Alabama. Thank you for any help as the Colonel is on a fixed income now.He said it was the worse mistake in his life, but he was lonely and depressed as he had no marriage the last ten years with Omie. She shuffled in and out of mental institutions and weighed 300 pounds. He worked round the clock to pay for her doctor bills and medicine,Again, thank you

Without looking at all the paperwork he needs to file for divorce. He lives in Texas. He files in the county where he resides. If he has no money, there are pro bono (free) services in many counties. You can look on-line at the State Bar of Texas website for the pro bono services in your area.

However, don't go into all this detail. It will scare off any family law attorney. Most of the "facts" you include is irrelevant.

I doubt that an annulment is applicable in this case.
