Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Common law

In my divorce papers it says that i cannot have a unrelated person of the opposite sex stay the night at the house when i have my kids. I have been dating someone for 1 year and we want to move in together but we dont feel the need to get married So my question is will the court recognize us as common law married. Or is this going to give me a problem?

Re: Common law

Living together without marriage could give you a big problem if the other parent drags you back to Court! You'll be breaking a Court order and opening yourself up to having the custody arrangement changed.

Are these really the values you want to be teaching your children? Living together is OK??? Breaking Court orders is OK??? And if you're willing to be recognized as part of a common law marriage by the Court, why not have a formal marriage? The end result is the same. You're married in the eyes of the State of Texas.
