Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

my common law husband and i just separated due to him cheating. he wants me to agree to recieve 300 a month from him for child support for our child. he makes 2100 a month. am i settling for less? and how much should i be getting from him?

Does he have any other children? If not, his child support should be around $320.00 per month. AND he should be providing health insurance at his own cost.
