Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My common law husband of almost 9 years has moved out of the house yesterday and informed me that he closed our joint bank account. I believe he has another woman which has happened on more than one occasion. Is this abandonment and what, if anything, can I do about the closed bank account?

First, you should check with the bank to make sure that the joint account was actually closed. He may have been lying.

Then you need to file for divorce and ask for temporary orders - including having the court order him to give you your money that he took out of the account.
