If in a common law marriage became pregnant but then later they seperated, she had the baby and then put it up for adoption without the consent of the father - is there any consequences on this

Consequences for whom? Mom or Dad?

If Dad wants to have some kind of legal rights to the child, he needs to act NOW. He needs to go see a lawyer, and he should mention the Paternity Registry (part of a new Texas law).
