Common Law Marriage

Someone told me that if you share expenses with your partner you are considered to be common law married in the state of texas is this true?

I cannot answer your question based on the limited information.

Texas does have common law -- but you must

agree to be married between yourselves, hold yourself out to the public that you are married, not be married to anyone else at the time, be over the age of 18, and must be living in the State of Texas at the time.
