Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

common law marriage

I was wondering if i can file for divorce if we lived together for 13and 1/2 years. and do i have any legal rights to anything. we have been seperated for about 6 months now . he got married about a month ago. is that legal also or is that marriage null because of our common law marriage?

You really need to talk to a family law attorney and give him or her all the details of this relationship. Just because you lived together doesn't automatically mean it was a common law marriage.
