Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I was common law married for June 2008 and during the marriage.. We had four children , had no property and and seperated . I asked once before about a divorce and I was told that there was no reason for one.. I wish I had saved the name and the email.
My ex is saying that he is going to get 4 years of child support and is threatening me now.. what should i do?

Marriage or no marriage, Mom can come after you for child support.
In a paternity case, the courts usually order retroactive child support. For any period of time when you and Mom actually lived together, she should NOT be awarded retroactive child support.
As far as what you should do now: start saving up for your lawyer. In the alternative, if you feel like doing so, you can file your own voluntary paternity suit.
