Re: community property

I will add to the other answer that your house purchased before you were married is your seperate property. However, the community estate may have an economic contribution claim. However, the court will look at your entire estate to decide on how to divide it. Factors such as fault will come into play.

Good look and let me know if you have any further questions.

Re: community property

I don't know what the numbers are - but the property that your husband took may have offset any community property interest in the house. His desertiona and abandonment might be construed as a fault ground for divorce which might allow him to assume a greater burden of the community debt. If these issues are important to you, I urge to hire an attorney in your area.
