Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Community property

If i marry a man who has served time for fraud in a federal prison and has been ordered to pay restitution, can my assets, held before our marriage, be seized to pay his debt? What about my earnings after our marriage?

Re: Community property

Based on what you have written, you should consider an agreement establishing what your separate property was prior to the marriage. Did you consider a pre-nuptial agreement before the marriage? You also should consider speaking with a local law firm to further discuss your options. If my local law firm can assist you with this legal issue or any other legal matter, please contact us at [email protected] to arrange for a consultation.
