community property???
My wife and I have been married for 4 years and she now is asking for a divorce. During our short marriage I purchased her a vehicle so she could have means of transportation. The vehicle is in my name and i solely make the payents she has never worked during our entire marriage. Is this considered community property? Do she get to keep the car i still have to make the payments,(since she cant afford the car)? and if this is considered communtity property can i stop making payments and have the car repossed?

Re: community property???
Property acquired during the marriage is community property. There are a few exceptions, which do not seem to apply here. All situations are different, however, many settlement agreements incident to the divorce provide that the person who takes property, also take the debt associated with the property.
Get a lawyer, and get a temporary hearing to determine who pays which bills, and who has access to which property.

If the car is repo'd, then it will lower your credit rates.
I agree with the other attorney, get an attorney and get temp. orders signed by the Judge.
