Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I need help.. confused.

I was married since 2004 and our marraige was never consumated.. I'm still a virgin. Its been five since our marraige. Does anullment vary is different states in america. My attorney told me that this anullment is not applicable in my case because I past five years... and she said that I should have got an annulment within one year as per the law... Is this true.. because my friend got anulment after five years in trinidad--name removed--do I have to get a certificate to prove my virginity.. or what..?'m confused here..

Annulment is limited in Texas. You can read the TX family code on-line.

I have no idea about Trinidad law.

Annulment and divorce is a state issue. It varies from state to state.

I don't know what county you live in. Some judges are more liberal than others about annulment.
