confused
I am going to voluntarily testify for one side and get a subpoena for the other side, can I not testify for the side I am voluntarily testifing for?

Once you have been subpoenaed, then you are required to appear. Either side has the right to call you to testify, once you are present. Additionally, once you are on the witness stand, one party will question you first (direct examination), and the other party has the right to also ask you questions (cross examination).
