conservatorship
My wife has filed for divorce. We agreed to joing custody. On the petition for divorce she is listed as the conservator. I want to fight it on the grounds that she not only left me with the kids for a three week period back in november when all of this started, but has also had an ongoing affair which lead up to her leaving and deciding she did not want to be married anymore. Do I have a good chance of being awarded conservatorship of our children? I have remained faithful to the marriage and family throughout all of this. I have had the same job for over fifteen years. I am well established as a good provider and parent.

You definately need to hire an attorney.
I urge you to hire someone in your county that has a lot of family law experience.
Just because she had an affair, is NOT grounds to not have custody of the minor children. However, it could be grounds to have a disproporionate share of the community estate.
