The mediator can't do anything. He or she isn't your attorney. You can get a lawyer to file an enforcement (contempt) action. If it's successful, you may be able to get the court to order your spouse to pay your attorney's fees.

In order to enforce your divorce decree, you should consult with an attorney regarding a petition for enforcement.

Your ability to enforce that document will depend on how it was drafted.

But, a mediator has nothing to do with enforcing a divorce decree unless a suit has been filed and the mediator was appointed to attempt to facilitate settlement. A mediator doesn't represent any of the parties & can't file documents for you.

Call a local attorney, or the State Bar of Texas (1-800-204-2222), for an attorney referral, to set up a consultation.
