Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Cost of a QDRO

I need to get a QDRO done, is this something I can do by myself? What is a fare price for this form?

You can try to do it yourself. Start at the Harris County Law Library - located in the Jury Assembly Room in Downtown Houston on Congress.

There are several local companies that do QDROs. You can check the yellow pages or go on line. I believe their prices start at around $2,000. Some might be more and some might be higher.

I charge an hourly rate and don't flat-rate for preparing and submitting QDROs to the Court and to the Employer. I charge $175/hour with a minimum of 5 hours on deposit with my office. If I don't spend all the money, I refund the difference at the end.

Good luck!
