Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Out of country holidays: Can a parent be forced to consent?

My former wife and I divorced this week. The Collin-County Judge in McKinney Texas ordered that we alternate holidays... she gets him for the COMPLETE Christmas/New Year holidays one year, and I get him the next year. I do not want for her to take my son out of the country without my consent(she is a Peruvian citizen, and only became a US Citizen this month), but the judge has ordered me to allow this as part of the divorce decree. Is this not a violation of Federal Law, and my rights as a Father?

I would suggest you speak to your attorney about this, and if you don't have one at this point you need to obtain one. I wish I could provide some general info. on this but at this point you really need to ask this question of an attorney that is representing you.
