Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
A couple of weeks ago me and a friend of mine got into quite a little fight; he ended up calling the police and because there was a scratch on him they arrested me for assault w/ bbodily injury. I am still friends with him and he said he even asked that night if they could not arrest me but because of the scratch they said they had to. He haseen told that he can call the ADA and get the charges dropped; is this true?

Ideally he should give your lawyer an affidavit of non-prosecution. Your lawyer will deliver it to the ADA, and the ADA will want to interview your friend. It does not insure a dismissal, but it will the pave the way for your lawyer to contest continued prosecution.
