Court cost

My child mother's has requested a mediation. We are scheduled to for the mediation very soon, and in the letter I received her lawyer is requesting i pay the court fees of $1500. Do I have to pay the fees if she wants me to come to court?

Re: Court cost

I'm not sure what kind of case has $1500 in court costs. I am assuming you have a "mediation before filing" clause in your order, but I'm not sure why they think you should pay for something she is starting. You need a good family law attorney. In almost every case what you spend on an attorney will save you money in the long run.
