Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
If the court ordered the mother to maintain health insurance for the minor child and the father to pay additional child support to cover the cost of same and the mother says she makes too much money to qualify for Medicaid and does not have insurance coverage for the child, can the father do anything about it?

Yes.
Generally the father would not have to pay for health insurance if the child is on Medicaid.
Additionally, the final decree of divorce MAY allow for the father to pay for health insurance directly if he chooses to do so.
You should consult with an attorney for an in-depth analysis of your situation.
Good Luck!
