do i still have to go to court/

I have not been ordered to pay any support or been named the childs father. I have had a dna test done and just recieved papers to go to court today. If the child is not mine do i still have to attend court? and if he is for the best intrest of the child can i give up my rights

I don't think the papers said "if you want to". I think they said "be there". If you can convince the judge that it is in the best interest of the child for you not to pay child support and surrender your parental rights, you should receive a prize. Expect the worst. Good Luck.

Yes!!! Even if you have a DNA test that shows you are not the father, if you don't go to Court and take those test results with you, I can almost guarantee the Court will find that you ARE the father.
