Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

What do I do when the Court Orders conflict with Psychiatrist?

I have sole custody of my child. We now reside out of the country as I am stationed abroad in the military. My ex is allowed frequent phone contact. My child's psychiatrist has written a detailed report strongly urging no phone calls with my ex until he is mentally better. ( he is harboring ALOT of anger towards his mom for the emotional, mental and physical abuse she had put him through) My child is 6 soon to be 7 years old. Please help.

Gently explain the situation to your ex in writing. If he is still opposed, then get a lawyer to take the report to the court in an effort to modify. Honestly, it will be difficult to do, since you and the psychiatrist are unavailable to testify, however, if your child is hurting, it could be worth a try.
