Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I am going to court this wednesday for childsupport. My ex-husband does not agree with the child support order to pay me the 20% of his income. We met with the attorney general over two months ago and when my ex- husband did not agree with the amount court ordered, saying that when he calculated a lesser amount, the general attorney asked him for his documentation. My ex had none. So, the general attorney said the increased amount will stand as is. This is the first child support review ever we have gone through. He has been paying child support since our son was an infant. Our son is now five. The amount he was paying was 295.00 a month. That was when he was just a temp at some warehouse. Now he is doing real well financially and the child support amount increased double what he was paying. Now because he doesn't want to pay that much in child support, he quit his job for a lesser paying one. Have you ever dealt with situations like mine? If so, what kind of advise do you have for me? Should I worry about anything?

We deal with cases like this one all of the time. The court came set his child support based on his earning potential if it finds that he is intentionally underemployed. You will need evidence about his earning capability. You need an attorney to sort through all of this. Good luck.
