Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My cousin was 15 with she got pregnant and the father was 18. Her grandmother had custody of her at the time. June of last year her grandmother passed away and my has been passed and around. her sister and her got into a fight and cops were called and my cousin's baby was taken. The father of the baby's mother has the baby until my cousin and the father taking parenting classes. My cousin's mother (who has not had custody of her in at least 10 years is now threating the father to turn him in for statutory rape just because she does not like him. What can we do

He can be charged with sexual assault of a child because he was more than 3 years older than her and she was no 17. Period. Nothing can be done to change the fact he committed a crime.
