Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My cousin is 18 and a senior in high school. Due to problems at home (not of her own doing) she has moved out and is living with a family who are friends of another relative. Is she considered an adult now at the age of 18 or could she be forced to move back home until she completes high school?

The moment she turned 18 she became an adult in the eyes of the State of Texas. She cannot be forced to go back to her parent's home.
