Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

CPS Administrative hearing

In May of 2002 I was living in an appartment with my boyfriend and our 18 month old daughter. The place was a mess and the appartment called cps. They charged us with neglect. We cleaned up and they said everyting was ok and that was the end of it. At the time I worked at a daycare. In Aug of 2005 I was working at the same place when I was notified that the neglect charge showed up in a central registry check. I requested an administrative hearing to see if i could get it taken off. It has been almost a year and i am still waiting for the hearing to happen. I have since completed my associates degree in Early Childhood Education. I want to look for a new job. Since I am waiting for an administrative hearing will the neglect charge show up on a central registry check? Should I get a lawyer to try to speed this up? I would really just like to ignore it, but if it is going to show up when I apply for a job I need to take care of it. Thank You for your help.
