Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

CPS has taken my children from because of false statement my husband made due to his deployment stress. CPS came into my home and took the kids and to me it was because of neglect. They went to my five years old child's school and interviewed her without my knowledge. When they came tomy house it was just about time to pick up my kid from school, the caseworker told me that I could not leave my home and she made a friend of mines (who was here to witness this removal) to pick up my five year old. My friend was not on any emergency paper. The school was angry and said that this was not policy and that the caseworker was supposed to pick the child up. Did this case worker do the right thing? Was she suppose to interview my child without my knowledge? Is this legal?
