is cps able to do this

about 5 months ago a alligation was made with cps that i was abusing zanax and would become beligerant and neglect my almost 2 year old daughter. i kno for a fact this report was made by a ex friend whom i had a dispute with and in return she set out to hurt my daughters by calling cps. with no proof the cps case worker had me sign over temp custody of my girls to my mom on the paper i signed it said ide be giving her custody till sept. theyve giving me 1 drug test which i passed but i dont understand how with no proof they removed my kids from my household and have also said i cant b around them. what do i do is this how cps works

They removed the kids because you GAVE them temporary custody which remains in effect until they decide to give them back. I don't the truth of your story, but CPS is there to protect kidss -sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. If you want your kids back, better toe the line they mark for you or get a lawyer.
