Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Cps took my son out of his mothers home and gave him to me, I have had him for a month and then my hismom took him from school and wont give him back. Legally what can I do just wait for a temporary custody hearing or take him from school when he goes back. He was taken because of spousal abuse from her husband?

Next time he goes to school, pick him up. Make sure the school has a copy of whatever papers your son's mother signed that placed the child with you so they know not to turn him over.

I would also call CPS immeidately and ask them to take action.

On your own, you could alsways file an emergency application for writ of habeus corpus to have your son returned to you.
