Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Crazy Aunt

My Aunt had a nervous breakdown and had to be put into several mental health places after her divorce. She was living with my grandparents after her divorce and had some of her furniture there. She was destroying most of it with a sledge hammer. My grandfather told me to pick some of it up and bring it to my house. Now, 9 years later, she is saying that I stole this and she is sending police to pick me up. Can she do this, and also could she sue me? I have told her she could pick it up anytime she wants to.

Re: Crazy Aunt

Sounds like you should get the stuff our of your house and be done with the whole issue.

Re: Crazy Aunt

I would suggest that you advise her of a time and date to get her stuff, and coordinate it with the local civil escort division of the police department. That way you have her out of your life, and without risk of harm.
