Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

cruelty in marriage

What constitutes cruelty in a marriage? Are there some case histories on the internet that will help me understand? Is slander considered to be cruelty?

Re: cruelty in marriage

Cruelty in marriage is a ground for a "fault divorce" in Texas. Different things may constitute cruelty including slander. If you are asking what is cruelty in order to file for a divorce, Texas no longer requires a finding of fault in order to grant a divorce. If you are in Dallas county or its contiguous counties and would like a free phone consultation, call my law office at 214-712-9242.
