Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I was curious about how much it costs to have your divorce changed to the state that you live in? My ex husband and I have a pretty simple divorce as far as our daughter goes (that is the only reason I am considering transferring the divorce). We got divorced in Georgia, we have joint custody (I am the primary custodian and it was within my rights to move), he gets liberal visitation rights (as long as we can agree on liberal which so far we have not fought about). I moved to Texas with my current husband in 2009. Is it even worth it to change the divorce? I am just concerned that if he gets a wild hair and takes me to court that I will have to go to Georgia to deal with it. Thank you very much for any help.

You should consult with a Georgia attorney, but I am not aware of a procedure to do what you are asking for.
Good Luck!
