Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Custodial Parent gave rights to mother without notifying the father

I pay child support and I'm the non-custodial parent.

My ex and her husband were arrested on a drug bust.

She gave full custody to her mother, without my consent. What can I do. She lives in AR.

You should be able to go into court and request a modification of the custody order, if you want to obtain custody of your child. However, it will depend on which state and court has continuing jurisdiction over the child's matters. Without knowing how long your ex has lived in AR, where your divorce took place, it's difficult to say. You should consult with an attorney in your area to determine how best to proceed.

Your ex can't give custody of your kids to anyone. Custody is a legal status, not a property right a parent can convey. I suggest that you go into court right away and demand custody of the kids.
