Does the custodial parent need to provide access to the child for the noncustodial parent??

The custodial parent has to follow the court's order, but the custodial parent does not have to do MORE than what the court ordered either.

If the order calls for phone calls or electronic access, then the custodial parent is going to have to comply with that. If the order does not call for phone calls or electronic access, then the custodial parent does NOT have to provide that access.

Sometimes it's a good idea to compromise on that issue, though. A lot of times parents get into a power struggle over little things like this and it's rarely worth the battle in terms of peace of mind and peace for the children.
