File a motion for modification and tell the court the reason that you need for the restriction to be lifted. If the Court thinks it's a good enough reason, the restriction will be modified.

You are not restricted, the child is. Most judges will not lift a geographic restriction without a very good cause, especially if the other parent sees the child on a regular basis. Would you be OK with the other parent taking your child away from near where you live? These are typically tough cases, but they can be won with the right evidence and an attorney who knows how to put the evidence on.

Of course, if the other parent is a good parent who sees the child frequently, it is an uphill battle.
