I am the custodial parent of a 4 year old boy. His father and I have never been married but he does pay child support. I have always tries to cooperate with the father and for the most part things go ok but here in the past 2 months his father has been threating me with custody just because I dont send our boy to him when he wants. He gets him whenever he feels like it and for the most part i let him go but when i tell him no (not on scheduled day) like I sais he treathen me. I am getting tire of being nice but something has to give. I take care of my child(children) and i dont frink and or do drugs. He is fed and clean and has a happy home. Does he have a chance in court or am i worried about nothing.

Don't give in to his threats. The next time he threatens you, ask him why he thinks he could get a judge to give him custody. Ask him this question:

"If you were standing in front of a judge right now, and the judge asked you why he should give you custody, what would you say? After all, if you have some actual concerns about how I'm raising our son, we should discuss them. Otherwise, I think you're just a phony who's trying to bully me into doing something I don't want to do, and frankly, I'm not impressed, and I'm certainly not scared of you. In fact, the next time you make phony threats about legal action, I will stop ALL visitation other than what is spelled out in the order. That's a promise."
