getting custody back
My ex boyfriend has physical custody of our son Ty. Last Febuary 2005 he took off with out even saying anything to me while my son was living with me in my apartment. He went to california and i did not get an address untill june of 2005. It is stated in our custody paper work that he was not to leave the state without telling me or the courts but he left anyways. He never gave the courts and address or anything. It took my lawyer months to find him and get him served but im afriad that the courts are going to do nothing. Im afraid that I may never see my son again. He keeps telling me that I have to come out to california and stay if I want to see my son again. I do have a conversation on tape of him saying that Ty spends all of his time with another person because he works so much and This is not the life I want for my baby. I just want to know if the courts will help me and what they might do so he wont be able to do this again.

It sounds like you already have legal counsel. You are lucky that your attorney eventually located the father of the child.

You need to follow the advice that your attorney gives you.
