Custody Battle
We filed for custody for my husbands son, the mother of his son was tested positive in drugs not only that she has four different fathers for each child, two of the fathers have criminal record and the juge wants to make a ruling on the next drug testing result and our lawyer is not helping us she is telling us if we do not get child , than we can make a agreement with the mother but we have so much eveidience against this mother,. She is not a good mother. As well she lives of child support, medicade, food stamp and never has worked in her life. What should we do? We want his son , and we are willing to fight for him.

Re: Custody Battle
Since you have a lawyer, I cannot give you legal advice. However, (this is not legal advice) sometimes we lawyers like to prepare clients for a negative ruling from the judge. No matter how hard we try, we can rarely predict what a judge will do. I'm pretty sure that's something the judges do on purpose to separate themselves from lawyers and litigants. Sometimes prayer helps. You know the one- Lord, give me the strength, etc.

You indicated you have an attorney. If you are not happy with the services of that attorney you have the right to seek other representation. An experienced family law attorney is almost a necessity in a custody battle.
If this is an AG case, remember, the AG does not represent you, the AG represents the State of Texas.
