Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Currently in a custody battle with my ex. I recently got a paternity test that states I am not the father. Due to the new paternity law in texas Doesn't that make the other case null and void? Why would we still have to go to court for the first case? FYI the judge has ordered that both hearings be at the same time. Also she did not contest the paternity within the specified amount of time.

There's a lot of information you didn't give us.

What is the "first case"?

What does "ex" mean? Ex-wife?

Is there an order somewhere that says that you ARE the child's father?

A DNA test doesn't automatically change anything. You still have to file the proper pleadings and use the DNA results as evidence.
