Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Custody Help

Is there any chance that I can get custody of my son? He doesn't live with his mother, and she is always asking for money from me. She always says that when he comes to her and says that he wants to live with me then she will be fine with that, but what kid wouldn't want to live with grandma. I would just like to know my odds of winning without having to lose and go back and fight again at a later date.

Re: Custody Help

Depends somewhat on the age of the child. You have to prove that the best interest of the child would be for you to have custody. Since she is not taking care of the child, you might have a chance. Maybe the child would rather have a dad than a grandmother. Good Luck.
