Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
custody
My daughter was killed last year and left behind 3 boys. The father was in a bad situation and let his mom have temporary guardianship until he got on his feet. Well he is working on this. Almost there. Now his mother wants to sue for custody. What chances does she have of getting this. And what can we do now.

Re: custody
The father is going to have to show his hardship and how he is overcoming this difficulty. He will have to prove that it is in the best interest of the children for him to retain custody. If this issue is important to you and the father, I strongly suggest hiring a lawyer. Certainly, hiring a lawyer may be an obstacle that he must overcome, but that could be a plus rather than a negative.
