Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Custody

I would like to get full custody of my son. His father has not contacted him or given child support for 4 years. Will I still get child support if I get full custody? Or will I just get full custody? OR any back child support for the 4 years of none?

Re: Custody

I'm quite sure you could get sole managing conservator and very likely serious restrictions on visitation. As far as delinquent child support, you will have to take action to receive the arrears. You could get some lump sum payments and an increase in the monthly payments. But you have to go for it, it's not going to be delivered to you.
