What do I need to do in order to gain

custody of my grandson if my daughter

is willing to sign over her rights

You need Dad's permission too.

If everyone agrees, you need to open a legal case at the courthouse and then have the parents sign a waiver of service & the final legal document for the judge to sign.

Then you need to go to court and stand in front of the judge and read a statement to the judge under oath.

Grandparents getting custody happen every day!
