Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Custody and Harassment

My ex and I settled out of court in Jan 08 - It was a long drawn out custody battle that involved him failing drug screens and multiple fals claims against me. I wanted to go to a coparent counselor, however he has refused even thou it is in the order. He has continued to threaten me with motions and another custody battle over the last six months.....is there anything I can do? It appears he is bullying me, however I spent close to 20K last year in legal fees and we never went in front of a judge except for his contempt hearings for drugs and not paying support. I have a bully on my hands and I want to work through the real ISSUES.....what can I do?

Re: Custody and Harassment

Your last sentence tells it all. This is not a legal issue. It's a mental health issue perhaps from your X's standpoint. I don't know all the facts. Even if you made him go to co-parenting, what makes you think he would get anything out of it. Try another strategy other than confrontation. Good Luck.
