Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Custody Issues

I have joint custody with my ex-wife. I send her my request to take my kids for summer possesion in March, which is usually in two 2 week increments, as I did this year. However, she informed me when I picked them up last Friday that she would not be around for the 2 weeks in between my possessions to accept them back. I love my kids, but I have to be at work and do not have any other options. I pay her child support and she is the main custodian of our children. Do I have any options? Can I MAKE her take them back? Can I use this to get primary custody myself?

Re: Custody Issues

How are you going to 'make' her take them back? She's not there. I doubt that this is sufficient to change custody. You better start making some arrangements just like the children's mother does the rest of the year.
