Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Custody issue/visitation right
I was awarded custody of my daughter in 1995 in the state of Washington. The order stated the mother could not have visitation with my daughter unless she underwent a psycho-sexuaul evaluation, and other psychological assessments, which I do not know if she has complied. She has located us in TX and has initiated contact with my daughter. Mother seems to think she has right to communicate and visit with daughter, because daughter is now 14 years old. Mother believes WA ruling does not hold up in TX. What can I legally do at this point?

Re: Custody issue/visitation right
Hire a lawyer to get the foreign decree registered and enforced in Texas. Once enforceable, she can be held in contempt if she violates it.
