custody of my nephew
i filed a case to child protective services in texas on my sister neglecting my nephew,i am picking my nephew up on 7/1/07 is it illegal to keep him if she is neglecting him,also what papers do i file to get custody of him

Your question opens up numerous legal issues and questions. What is CPS response? Are they filing emergency orders? Are they placing the child with you? Are you picking the child on a friendly vacation basis, or because of a legal placement. If there is no court order authorizing your placement or conservatorship of this child, you have no legal grounds to keep the child against the parent's wishes. If the child is in immediate danger, then an emergency hearing is warranted. You need a lawyer in Texas.
