Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

In my custody orders it states that my daughters dad must provide medical insurance. Does this include dental? Also in the orders it states that if the insurance is through my employer then he must pay me for the cost of the insurance. If he is not paying this do I have any action that I can take to get this resolved? Thank you!

Section 101.015 of the Texas Family Code contains the definition of "health insurance." It does not include dental insurance.

However, read your order carefully. If it specifically requires Dad to provide dental insurance as well as health insurence, then he must do so.

If he's not providing health insurance, and has been ordered to do so: The court-ordered obligation is enforceable just like any other support obligation (see section 154.183(a)(3) of the Family Code). You can (and should) sue him for contempt (it's called a "motion for enforcement"). Get documentation for the amount that you've paid for the premiums, and take him to court.
