Re: Custody

Your right to raise your children is a fundamental constitutional right. As long as you are physically able to take care of the children in light of your health issues, your parents do not have a snowball's chance of taking the children away from you.

Re: Custody

Based on your zip code, I assume you are in Houston, Texas.

Arthur is right -- a grandparent has a difficult burden to prove you unfit.

Of course, the father of the children will be involved in this lawsuit.

He might ask for custody and the burden on him is much less than your parents.

Hire an atty. that does not have an issue with your lifestyle. I no longer do litigation. I refer many of my client to Patricia Bushman at 8978 Kirby, Houston, TX 77054 (by loop 610 and Kirby) She will quote a price over the phone if you tell her FRAN sent you -- talk to Arlene her office manager. She is an excellent attorney with lots of courtroom experience.

She offers payment plans too.
